Dessert resembles stained glass
This is sure to become a family favorite—especially with the kids. Try it today!
Ingredients
2 (3 oz. each) boxes of same color of gelatin
2 (3 oz. each) boxes of another color of gelatin
2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin
1 (14 oz.) can of sweetened condensed milk
Water
Directions
- Boil 4 cups of water.
- Stir 2 cups of boiling water into the contents of 2 boxes of the same color gelatin.
- In a separate bowl, stir 2 cups of boiling water into the contents of 2 boxes of the other color of gelatin.
- Chill the bowls in the fridge overnight.
- Cut the set gelatin into small cubes.
- In a 9 x 13 pan, gently mix the small cubes together (keep the cubes whole)
- In a mixing bowl, pour ½ cup of cold water.
- Add the contents of the 2 envelopes of the unflavored gelatin on top.
- Allow this to thicken. May take a few minutes.
- While waiting, boil 1 ½ cups of water.
- Add the 1 ½ cups of boiling water to the unflavored gelatin mixture.
- Stir the sweetened condensed milk into the unflavored gelatin mixture.
- Let this mixture cool to room temperature. (important step)
- Pour the gelatin/milk mixture over the colorful gelatin cubes in the 9 x 13 pan.
- Chill overnight.
- The next day, cut the finished dessert into bite-size cubes.
- Marvel at the beauty.
